Where parking restrictions or access limitations exist, the customer should notify us in advance so that service delivery can proceed smoothly.

3. Payments and Pricing

Prices are usually based on the type of service, the size of the area, the level of soiling, the number of items, and any special treatment required. Quotations may be provided as estimates or fixed prices depending on the information supplied. If the customer’s description of the job changes before or during the visit, the price may be adjusted accordingly. Any additional charges will be explained where reasonably possible before work continues.

Payment is due in accordance with the method and timing stated at booking or on invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made on completion of the service on the same day. We may accept bank transfer, card payment, cash, or another method made available from time to time. 4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access Issues

Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. For standard appointments, at least 24 hours’ notice is requested wherever possible. Cancellations made with insufficient notice may incur a charge to cover lost time, travel, and scheduling costs. 5. Liability and Limitations

The customer remains responsible for the lawful disposal of any items not directly covered by our cleaning service, including bulky rubbish, sharps, chemicals, or specialist waste. We may refuse to handle materials that present a health, safety, or regulatory risk. If we agree to remove or transport a restricted material, this will only be done where permitted by law and subject to any additional charges, documentation, or safety controls required.

7. Customer Property, Safety, and Risk

We take reasonable care when working in occupied premises, but the customer should remove or protect fragile, valuable, and irreplaceable items before the appointment begins. This includes artwork, ornaments, important papers, electronic devices, and items located near the cleaning area. South Woodford Carpet Cleaners accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to such items where they were not reasonably secured or disclosed beforehand.

Pets, children, and other occupants should be kept safely away from the work area during cleaning. Cleaning products and machinery may present temporary hazards such as slippery surfaces, noise, and moving equipment. The customer is responsible for maintaining a safe environment and for informing us of any health concerns, allergies, or access needs that may affect the service.

If the property contains asbestos, mould, pest infestation, biohazards, or other serious hazards, the customer must disclose this before booking. We may refuse the service or require specialist treatment before any normal cleaning can proceed. Where a site is unsafe, we may leave the premises and charge for any time already spent, travel incurred, or assessment completed.

8. Complaints and Remedies

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By entering into a contract with South Woodford Carpet Cleaners, the customer agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer rights provide otherwise.

Nothing in these terms is intended to override any rights or protections that apply to consumers under UK law.
